Never doubt your ability to double as a plumber even after your 9-5.  Leaving all the plumbing repairs to a bunch of men and women suited up to fix the easiest clogged drains or even reseat certain faucet- things you could do with your eyes closed doesn’t come cheap- there is always a service fee. Why don’t you ditch that system and learn the common plumbing problems and the ways out of these problems?

If you still haven’t become a pro at plumbing, then maybe it’s not your calling, pass down the training to someone else. Remember no knowledge is lost. Always note that plumbers are on your beck and call anytime, every time for consultation and service.

Here are a number of common plumbing problems you can fix up at the comfort of your time without the help of a plumber.

They are the most saturated plumbing problems. It comes in two ways; there might be a leak in the region where the arm connects with the shower head or where the shower head body connects with the swivel ball. They are one of the many pertinent shower head plumbing problems but quite the easiest to fix. How, you might ask, just clean all threads and then coat them with the use of plumbers’ joint tape.

Plumbing Problems with Drains and Sinks

These problems appear right under our noses. Contrary to many beliefs, even as much as it is advisable to reach out to a professional plumber when plagued with plumbing problems like this, it is not such a bad idea to try to fix them yourself. In the process, you’re killing one bird with two stones; saving yourself the money meant for repairs and learning how to save yourself from extra expenditure

Clogged drains are very noticeable; it is safer to fix them immediately you see signs. Try using homemade drain cleaners; they tend to get the job done assiduously. How do I make the homemade drain cleaner when there is grease stuck in the drain? Mix vinegar with baking soda and pour the mixture down the clogged drain. Leave it to work for about three hours and then flush with water. For other kinds of clogged drainage problems, just mix and pour baking soda and salt in boiling water. Unlike greasy block drains left to work for three hours, other kinds of clogged drainages need about an overnight watch for the homemade drain cleaners to kick off.

Dripping Tap Problems

Unlike the other household plumbing problems, this needs urgent repair work without professional help, dripping tap problems will be a thing of the past.  Dripping taps in the long haul can cause a lot of water being lost. Why do these taps drip?  Well, it is because there are some elements stuck inside the tap. Inside every tap, there is a seal. It is the job of a washer to keep the seal positioned right. In cases where the seal or the washer is not positioned right, then there will drip problem but you can always salvage this situation, just replace the damaged tap.

When in doubt, it won’t hurt to call a plumber
